O canal americano CW divulgou um trailer promocional e as primeiras imagens da quinta (e última) temporada de The Originals.

Como os fãs sabem, o quinto ano vai apresentar um salto temporal e contar com a personagem Hope Mikaelson já adolescente. Os realizadores esperam ainda que Hope venha a estrelar sua própria spin-off após a conclusão de The Originals.
