Foram anunciados os indicados ao Emmy Awards 2016, a maior premiação da televisão americana.
A seleção deste ano conta com séries populares como Game of Thrones, liderando a disputa com 23 nomeações. O programa concorre como melhor série de drama, além de trazer as primeiras indicações para Kit Harington (Jon Snow) e Maisie Williams (Arya).
Séries novatas também conseguiram um lugar na premiação: o fenômeno Mr. Robot conquistou uma vaga entre os dramas, eMaster of None concorre entre as comédias.

Veteranas muito elogiadas pela crítica também entraram na lista deste ano. The Americans finalmente foi indicada nas categorias principais, enquanto Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Veep e Transparent asseguraram novas nomeações por suas temporadas mais recentes.
A cerimônia de premiação será realizada este ano no dia 18 de setembro, com apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel e transmissão pela ABC nos Estados Unidos.
